This is a professional and examining body registered by Federal Government and empowered to regulate the training and practice in the field of Credit, Financial Analysis and Management within a professional framework.
The body is empowered to register members, set parameters of knowledge to acquire to be qualify to practise, regulate the practice and development of Professionals as well as monitoring professional conducts through an established Code of Ethics, amongst others.

This is the highest level recognition by the Institute. Procedure for award is constantly reviewed. Applicants must have M.Sc with a mininum of 15 years of work experience.
The Council of Institute of Credit, Financial Analysis and Management confer Doctoral Fellow on Persons who have been in Credit, Financial Analysis and Management for at least 12 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with M.Sc.
The Council of Institute of Credit, Financial Analysis and Management confer Research Fellow on Persons who have been in Credit, Financial Analysis and Management for at least 10 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with M.Sc.
Council may, at its discretion, confer Honorary Fellowship on leaders of non-government, corporate, political and other professional organizations, who have contributed positively to the advancement of the core values of ICFAM.
The Council of Institute of Credit, Financial Analysis and Management may confer Fellow on Persons who have been in Credit, Financial Analysis and Management for at least 8 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with HND/B.Sc
The Council of Institute of Credit, Financial Analysis and Management may confer Senior Member on Persons who have been in Credit, Financial Analysis and Management for at least 6 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with HND/B.Sc
